    8:2 Training:

    8:2:A New Member Training:

New members of the San Andreas State Police are required to go through a training process. This training process will consist of an orientation and Law Enforcement Academy.

    8:2:A:1 Law Enforcement Academy

All members of the San Andreas State Police are required to complete and pass the Law Enforcement Academy hosted by members of DPS. If members need to locate the time and dates for these trainings they can be found in the main discord as well as the State discord under the Training Announcement Channel. The Academy will consist of an open book written exam. It will also contain a series of practice scenarios to see the overall demeanor and abilities of the new recruits.
Upon completion of the Academy members will receive a certification in Law Enforcement and gain the title of Law Enforcement Officer.

    8:2:B Returning Members

Members that are returning to the DVRP community are not required to complete the LEO Academy however they are still required to complete a ride-along. This ride-along is different then the ones listed for a new member. The returning member ride along will consist of one single “refresher” ride along. The SASP appointed trainer will go over the basics of patrol and what they should expect when returning. They will also watch from afar as the returning individual is to complete routine tasks such as traffic stops, to see if they are still able to complete these tasks without any issues. If it is determined that the returning members are unable to complete these tasks then the SASP appointed member can refer them to DPS and DRTP for enrolment into the Law Enforcement Academy.
